3T has launched its latest road bike dubbed the Strada Italia, expanding the Italian brand’s made-in-Italy trilogy of bikes.
When developing the Strada Italia, 3T says it focussed on three key features, “responsiveness, handling and comfort”, relying on the same carbon filament winding process as its Extrema and Racemax, allowing engineers to dial-in the carbon layup process to achieve an optimal balance between stiffness and compliance while maintaining precise stability.
Additionally, 3T sought to further bolster comfort by increasing clearance, providing enough room to accommodate tires as wide as 35mm, while aerodynamics also played an important role when developing the Strada Italia, as evidenced by its aero-curved seat tube and integrated Aeroflux carbon handlebar and MORE stem.
All things considered, the new Strada Italia makes the most of the UCI’s more relaxed aerodynamic regulations, featuring an all-new silhouette for the head tube, as well as a downtube that has been tailored to act as an aerodynamic shield for water bottles – all in an effort to cheat the wind.
The Strada Italia is available as a standalone frameset, or as a complete bike in a number of build options.
Here’s how the models breakdown:
