Our clandestine team of French operatives, "Le Seal Team Six", has obtained top-secret information that Time has plans to launch a limited edition Paolo Bettini VXRS frameset – commemorating Il Grillo’s ("the cricket") 2006 World Championships victory.
According to Time’s representative here in the USA, Gilles Lalonde, only 300 framesets will be available worldwide, and all of them will be numbered and signed by the Italian rider.
In addition, the VXRS will be made to the same specifications and geometry as the original model, to include a traditional threaded bottom bracket and Time’s Translink seat mast.
The frameset is scheduled to be unveiled at this month’s EuroBike Show. We’ll keep you updated as more information and photos become available.
