Mokumono Introduces New Delta S eBike

The Dutch brand, Mokumono, has introduced its latest eBike called the Delta S, offering urban cyclists a feature-packed lightweight conveyance that’s capable of tackling the cityscape with ease and convenience.

Perfect for commuting

The single speed Delta S weighs just 32 pounds (14.5 kilos), making it one of the lightest eBikes currently on the market. The bike is powered by a small 250w rear hub motor that derives power from a compact 250Wh battery that’s nicely hidden away in frame, providing up to 37 miles (60 kilometers) of range on single charge. Moreover, the battery can be fully charged in less than two hours, while ease of maintenance is provided courtesy of a unique rear frame design that allows for the easy mounting of the Gates Belt-Drive system.

The geometry of the Delta S confers an agile, yet stable riding experience, perfect for navigating busy city streets, while a carbon front fork smoothes out the ride. In addition, there’s an integrated pannier set-up that allows for two cycling bags to be mounted on the rear fender.

Unique design

The distinctive design of the Delta S is the result of a unique automated frame production process that was developed by Mokumono, wherein the frame is produced in the Netherlands with automated production techniques commonly used in the automobile industry.

By producing frames on their home turf, Mokumono sets itself apart from 97% of all bicycle brands, who all rely on frame manufacturers in South East Asia.

However, above and beyond limiting shipping costs and logistics, Mokumono also believes that keeping production at home strengthens local manufacturing and allows for better oversight on the use of materials and reduces the company’s carbon footprint.

Minimal maintenance

Mokumono believes that you should be able to count on your bike to function properly day in and day out. That’s why the Delta S is fitted with high-spec components like the maintenance-free Gates Carbon Belt Drive system, Magura hydraulic disc brakes, Brooks Cambium saddle and Supernova lights. A second factor for selecting the components is the production location. When possible, Mokumono tries to find components that are still produced in Europe in order to streamline assembly and bolster regional markets as well.

Theft protection

Mokumono offers an optional GPS-tracker and motion-alarm for the Delta S, along with a companion app that allows cyclists to see the location of the bike at any given time. Furthermore, the app also provides a digital lock for the bike when it’s parked, while also notifying the person of any movement.

Worry-free buying and riding

The Delta S can be ordered online for €2990, which is available in three frame sizes (S, M and L), along with two standard color options – Frozen Silver Metallic or Liquid Yellow Metallic.

Customers can also opt for custom paint for an up charge of €250.

Additionally, for customers in the Netherlands, Mokumono also provides free delivery and set-up through Get Bike Service.
