Lightweight unveiled the latest incarnation of its URGESTALT frameset during last week’s annual Interbike Show.
According to Lightweight, the updated URGESTALT was design with comfort in mind, which now features a more compliant 27.2 round seatpost, along with a traditional seat clamp, as compared to the previous oval post that comprised a somewhat quirky internal clamp.
In addition, Lightweight also redesigned the URGESTALT’s fork, this time using a revised carbon lay-up process, which resulted in improved compliance as well.
Lightweight claims they were able to lighten up the disc brake version of the URGESTALT as well, bringing the weight down to an impressive 795g, which is within 10g of its caliper brake sibling.
What hasn’t come down is the price however, which will still set you back quite a lot of deutsche marks. 🙂
